![]() ![]() Craft Documents - Craft are coming up thick and fast with a beautiful, native application - adding all the features document lovers want and will soon continue that for personal productivity I’m sure with tasks and better calendar management. This is probably their biggest worry - as people seeking a balance between Obsidian and Evernote see AmpleNote as the perfect placement. AmpleNote -innovating faster and faster, AmpleNote combines tasks, calendar and notes in one hub - and doing it systematically too.The real challengers/alternatives that Evernote will see as competition are: They’ve clearly stated they want to be more the productivity hub than a flexible system like Notion - the place you check your vitals (tasks, calendar, notes) in one location.īack last year, I would have said Evernote are coming up against the likes of Roam Research and Obsidian - but whilst Evernote will begin to find ways to connect notes, they are never going to be hobbyist tools that those are. Late in 2020, when Evernote introduced their upgraded vision - after taking time and attention to improve their core foundations, I saw how Evernote weren’t in the “Notion vs Evernote” game and neither were Notion. ![]() Speaking with the Notion CEO back in 2018, he mentioned something very clear - Notion was aiming to be the a new Microsoft Office revolution, not battle closely with Evernote.īut for the context’s sake, Notion did appear to be publicly converting Evernote users by the day - for the situation, it was the right move - allowing people already aware of how Evernote works and bringing them in. Notion was adding features once a month, innovating on how pages should and could be created and drawing people in with complex databases. With a lack of vision and no new features, Evernote was a sitting duck. For two years, between 20 - the rise of Notion gave way to an interesting fight between Evernote and Notion - in which Evernote was very much a passive part of the battle.
